Patiala (Arvinder Joshan) World Red Cross Day was celebrated at Punjab Red Cross De-addiction Center Saket Hospital Patiala under the guidance of Project Director Mrs. Parminder Kaur Manchanda and in collaboration with all the staff. This day is associated with Sir Jean-Henri Duna. He was also awarded the World Peace Nobel Prize for his outstanding contributions to society. Red Cross Patron Mr. Vijay Goel was also present.
Today, on World Red Cross Day, flowers were presented to Bhai Ghanhaiya and Henry Duna. Patients were briefed on the importance of the Red Cross and given masks.
Punjab Red Cross Bhai Ghanyaa ji is considered as a role model. He is always remembered for his sense of service and service to humanity. Red Cross Day is dedicated to people who are suffering from food shortages, natural disasters, epidemics such as migrant workers, people in need and OPDs during Kovid-19. Patients were also given ready-made cloth masks, flour, medicines, surf, soaps, shampoos dedicated to this day.
These services are being provided by all the staff while performing their duties diligently in these disasters. The de-addiction center at Saket Hospital has been providing its services since 1994. In which patients receive OPD. Facilities, computer center, physiotherapy, X-ray center and other facilities are also being provided. Councilor Amarjit Kaur, Parvinder Kaur, Pankaj Rai, Amritpal Singh, Ranjit Kaur, Mary, Jeevan Singh, Mandeep, Ajit and Sandeep Sharma and other staff members were also present on the occasion.
