Ludhiana (Media Bureau) The pregnant wife of a migrant laborer, who had reached Ambala in Haryana by walking about 100 km on foot from Ludhiana in Punjab, gave birth to a baby girl, but the newborn died shortly after.Jatin Ram and his pregnant wife Bindia had recently set out on their way to their village from Ludhiana to Bihar. When both of them reached the city of Ambala, Bindiya, who was suffering from childbirth, was taken to the Civil Hospital with the help of the police, where she gave birth to a baby girl, but she could not survive. He performed the last rites of the girl here.Jatin Ram said that he did leave for Ambala on foot with his pregnant wife Bindiya after not getting a ticket in Shramik Special train. She told that Bindia had become very weak due to not getting enough nutritious supplements during pregnancy.He told that he was also strapped with money due to loss of job during lockdown. An NGO of Ambala Cantonment arranged for their stay and food. The organization has also assured to arrange to send the couple to Bihar safely through Shramik Special Train.
