The arrangements being made by the Punjab government to deal with the corona virus are not enough

Patiala (Arvinder Joshan) The arrangements being made by the Punjab government to deal with the corona virus are not enough. Leaders of 10 Farmers Associations of Punjab, Krantikari Kisan Union Punjab President Dr. Darshan Pal, Punjab Kisan Union President Ruldu Singh Mansa, Jamhuri Kisan Sabha, Punjab General Secretary Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Indian Farmers Union Unity (Dakonda) General Secretary Jagmohan Singh Patiala, Azad Kisan Sangharsh Committee President Harjinder Singh Tanda, Jai Kisan Andolan, Punjab President Gurbakhsh Singh Barnala, All India Kisan Sabha, Punjab General Secretary Major Singh Punhawal, All India Kisan Sabha (Sambhar), General Secretary Punjab, Baldev Singh Nihalgarh, Kisan Sangharsh Committee Punjab State President Inderjit Singh Kotbuddha and General Secretary Kirti Kisan Union Jatinder Singh Chhina said that the people have been repeatedly locked down by the government. While the arrangements made for the treatment of patients at the government level during this period are of a very temporary nature. Hospitals, on the one hand, lack doctors and paramedical staff. And in many places in the isolation wards set up for patient care. Was. Yes, X-ray machines, laboratories and oxygen are also lacking. There are very few ventilators. On the other hand, senior doctors are also discriminating in imposing duties on existing doctors and paramedical staff, which only adds to the itch of patients. The Civil Hospital Ludhiana is a prime example of this. The leaders further said that a large number of staff have been kept on contract for years on meager salaries. No action has been taken to regularize them and fill the vacancies of doctors and other para medical staff. At the same time, stores have been filled with the purchase of unnecessarily expensive equipment, misusing the funds allocated for the treatment of corona virus. Patients are suffering physically and mentally due to lack of clean water for patients in isolation wards, not getting good food on time, lack of newspapers and television for them and delays in treatment. Instead of creating these facilities, the government has issued orders to send patients with minor or minor symptoms home. This has created a basis for further spread of the disease. In this way, instead of creating health facilities for the people, the government is running away from its real responsibility by imposing restrictions on the people. The leaders called for overcoming the shortage of doctors and other staff, eliminating discrimination in duties, providing necessary equipment and making adequate arrangements for the care of patients. He also demanded to make public the expenditure of funds allotted for this purpose so far.
