Chandigarh (Media Bureau) To ensure transparency in the process of distribution of books to the school children and to maintain the record of books, the Punjab Government has made it mandatory to keep an account of the books being distributed. These entries will be made by all school heads at Login ID of their schools.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Punjab School Education Department said that the entries process has been made very simple and clear by the head office through software modifications and it’s link has been given on the e punjab school portal. According to the spokesperson, the head office would send inspection teams on the spot to get information about the distribution of books so that no student would be deprived of books.
According to the spokesperson the Secretary School Education / Director General School Education was personally reviewing the distribution of books through video conferencing with the Deputy District Education Officers, Publications Branch of Punjab School Education Board and senior officers of the Education Department. In view of the suggestions made during this time, the process of entry of books has been further simplified and clarified.
