Mohali (Media Bureau) The Education Department on Tuesday issued new orders regarding fees for private schools. Under which the children studying in these schools have been asked to collect the fees according to the tuition fees. Now the parents of the children have to pay the April and May fees by May 31.
With this, schools have been directed to collect fees every month till further orders. Earlier, a three-month fee was collected. Orders have also been issued for timely payment to teaching and non-teaching staff. The department has sent a copy of the order to private schools. So far, more than half of the family members have paid their fees in private schools. Lockdown’s education department announced summer vacations from April 14 to May 14. In a notification issued on Monday, the education department has extended the leave till May 31, but the students and teachers have not been given the summer leave. These holidays are being implemented by canceling the winter vacation in schools. This means that students and teachers will no longer get the winter vacation they get in December.
