Private schools can’t give up profits for 4 months in hard times, yield on fees

Chandigarh (Media Bureau) The Punjab Government has vehemently opposed the petition filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court regarding the recovery of fees. On the questions raised by the private schools regarding the salaries of the teachers, the Punjab Government said that The government has six months’ salary of private school staff deposited in the reserve fund under the Education Code. If in the meantime schools wish to pay their staff from this fund, they can apply to the concerned District Education Officer.

The Punjab Government vehemently opposed the petition of the private schools filed in the High Court for recovery of fees in the lockout.
“Private schools that have gone to the High Court to save their profits even after a four-month crisis by charging fees from students for 10-12 years. Can’t they give up profits? There will be a daily hearing on the issue next week
