Preparing to tighten lockdown in Punjab, big decisions can be taken

Amritsar Sahib (Media Bureau) In view of the increasing cases of coronavirus in Punjab, the state government is preparing to impose more restrictions on lockout. In the last one month, about 43,000 people have returned to Punjab from foreign states and abroad. Health officials believe that the spread of corona has begun to accelerate due to the return of people from outside the state. In addition, quarantine violations by outsiders are also on the rise. It is learned that the Union Home Ministry may also tighten the lockout after receiving feedback from the states. Under this, only people whose jobs will be allowed to go out of their homes. Only one family member will be allowed out of the house to prevent congestion in the markets. School children and college students will be strictly prohibited from leaving the house. Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said that the government was charging huge amount of fines but the lives of common people were more precious to the government. According to sources, the Union Home Ministry will impose various restrictions under the new lockout order from July 1. The Punjab government may then announce the new rules.
