Chandigarh (Media Bureau) Oil companies have taken a unique initiative to handle the economy north of Leh due to the lockdown caused by the corona virus. Door delivery has now been initiated by Bharat Petroleum for the industries which have been given production permission by the government during the lockdown.
To bring the economy, which had deteriorated during the lockdown, back on track, the pharmaceutical and essential manufacturing industries in Jammu and Kashmir have been allowed to produce on condition. Facilitating these industries which are now producing in this series, the government has allowed door delivery to the country’s largest oil company Bharat Petroleum. Bharat Petroleum has launched this facility for industries.
According to Bharat Petroleum’s Jammu and Kashmir Territory Manager Rajesh Sharma, the service has been launched for these industries in the ongoing lockdown to defeat the corona virus and to reduce congestion at petrol pumps. Under this service, delivery of diesel in industries has to be ordered on WhatsApp.
Bharat Petroleum is using a small petrol pump called Boozer for door delivery of diesel. This boozer has a dispensing unit as small as an ATM that delivers diesel door just as you would at a petrol pump.
