Patiala (Arvinder Joshan) During the period of Corona Pandemic garbagemen are on the verge of unemployment and most of them cannot make both ends meals. This is all due to anti people policy of Municipal Corporation on the pretext of garbage collection. After hearing the problems of garbagemen near dump Modi Mandir Mr. J. P. Singh General Secretary Aam Aadmi Party Punjab informed the press that on one hand in the name of Municipal Corporation, employees of Hari Bhari Company are harassing the people of the city where as on the other hand they are threatening the routine garbagemen to leave the profession . A few days ago they have betan a lady Parvesh Kumari who is the sole bread winner of the family near Seona Chowk. Principal J. P. Singh further added that early in the morning he got a call from Virk Colony that employees of Hari Bhari Company have clashed with the residents who opposed their involvement in collecting garbage. They told that Hari Bhari people are charging Rs. 100 to Rs. 400 whereas the routine garbagemen used to charge Rs. 50 to Rs. 70. He warned the Municipal authorities against infringing the rights of routine garbagemen who are already suffering due to Corona Pandemic. He told that they would meet the Commissioner Municipal Corporation in this regard. Mr. Varinder Gautam Commander Aam Aadmi Party, Deepak Sahota President garbagemen, Yashpal Luk, Sham lal, Anaaj, Narinder, Ibrahim, Salim and many others were also present on this occasion.
