Everyone involved in the family’s grief mourned the martyr with tears in their eyes. While the father of the martyr S. Avtar Singh, mother Smt. Mohinder Kaur, elder brother Balwant Singh saluted Shaheed Rajwinder Singh. Today, the body of Naik Rajwinder Singh was brought to Chandigarh from Kashmir by a special Indian Army plane and brought to Patiala Military Station, from where it was brought by road in a large convoy to village Dodra. After this, Chikha of Naik Rajwinder Singh was set on fire with religious rites including full government and military honors. At the funeral of Shaheed Rajwinder Singh, Punjab Governor Shri V.P. Singh Badnaur on behalf of SDM Mr. Kala Ram Kansal, Nabha and on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, Sh. Nirmal Singh laid a wreath on the body of the martyr and presented flowers of devotion. At the time of cremation of the martyr, important personalities from political, social and religious organizations including Indian Army, Punjab Government, District Patiala Civil and Police Administration and thousands of common people attended the funeral of the martyr, calling him a ‘patriot and martyr Rajwinder Singh immortal’.
