Ferozepur (Media Bureau) The Home Department of the Punjab Government has issued a new order setting up a new police range at Faridkot. Moga and Sri Muktsar Sahib districts have also been included in the newly formed range. Senior IPS Officer Dr. Kaustubh Sharma has been posted as the first IG of Faridkot Range.The orders for this new range were issued by Additional Chief Home Secretary to the Punjab Government Satish Chandra on Wednesday. The number of police ranges in Punjab has now increased to eight. Tarn Taran district has now been included in the Ferozepur range. The district was earlier included in the Amritsar border range.
