Crude oil prices fall, then petrol in India at Rs 69- Rahul Gandhi

Chandigarh (Media Bureau) Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday lashed out at the government after the historic fall in crude oil prices, saying that even in this situation, petrol was selling at Rs 69 and diesel at Rs 62 per liter. He questioned why the government was not paying attention to the demand for reduction in petrol and diesel prices.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted that crude oil prices in the world have suddenly come up with statistics, yet why is petrol in our country Rs 69, diesel Rs 62 per liter? The price dropped in this disaster is good.

Earlier, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said that the government should provide relief to the common consumers. “The sudden fall in oil prices is a historic occasion,” Khera told reporters. So low that he has gone below zero. There was a moment when the price dropped from zero to $ 37. This is because there are no buyers of this crude oil in the United States.

He said that in the last six years, the government has earned Rs. 20 lakh crore by imposing excise duty on petrol and diesel. The question is, why can’t you share this benefit with consumers? Why can’t they give relief to ordinary consumers? Khera appealed to the government to provide relief to the common man in this difficult time.
