Earlier, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said that the government should provide relief to the common consumers. “The sudden fall in oil prices is a historic occasion,” Khera told reporters. He said that in the last six years, the government has earned Rs. 20 lakh crore by imposing excise duty on petrol and diesel. The question is, why can’t you share this benefit with consumers? Why can’t they give relief to ordinary consumers? Khera appealed to the government to provide relief to the common man in this difficult time.
