Due to the lockdown, there is a severe shortage of blood in all public and private blood banks. To address this shortcoming, the Vande Mataram Dal has been operating the service since March 22, the first day of the lockdown.. Blood donors of Vande Mataram Dal are working day and night to provide blood to critically ill patients, regardless of lockdown or curfew, Corona virus. To save the patients by donating blood, the Government Blood Bank of Patiala and the Private Blood Bank of Vande Mataram Dal are providing full support 24 hours a day.
