An invitation to the people to be united for the eradication of drugs

Patiala (Arvinder Joshan) Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kumar Amit called upon the people to join hands for the eradication of drugs to create awareness about the prevention of drug abuse and illicit trade at Focal Point under ‘Mission Fateh’. Director Mrs. Parminder Kaur Manchanda and Inspector Pushpa Devi from Police Department addressed the awareness seminar. Ms. Malchanda said that drugs are a sweet poison. It seems that the body is agile for a while but slowly it destroys the internal organs of the body like a weevil. Drug abuse can lead to serious illnesses, such as cancer, heart disease, stroke, ulcers, kidney failure, and jaundice. He explained in detail about the types of drugs and how they are treated at Saket Hospital. He also told them that while we are fighting this epidemic (corona) we should also live a healthy life to avoid such diseases. Not to resort to drugs. Madam Pushpa expressed her views on drug trafficking and said that just as the police department was working diligently to break the supply line, she also encouraged the young generation to eat healthy food and keep themselves busy.Councilor Amritpal Singh also enlightened all the factory workers on how to overcome the problems related to drugs and their lives. Various other officers also shared their views and thanked everyone.
